Information We Collect
Cramium collects the account information needed to let you sign in and use the service, such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication provider details.
We also collect the learning material you choose to submit, including uploaded lecture files, pasted notes, and the generated guides or question sets created from that content. If you subscribe, billing-related identifiers may be processed through Stripe.
Your Data, Your Account, and Model Training
Your uploads, notes, and the guides, question sets, flashcards, and other artifacts generated from them remain yours, subject to any third-party rights in your source material. Library and study content are tied to your account and access-controlled so other users cannot browse your personal library through the product.
Cramium does not use your personal study material to train its own machine learning models and does not sell or license your content as training data. When you use AI-powered features, submissions may be sent to third-party model providers only to generate responses for your session. Those providers process data under their own privacy notices and terms, as well as contractual terms appropriate for delivering the service.
Connections to Cramium use encryption in transit (such as HTTPS/TLS). Stored data is held with cloud infrastructure providers that apply encryption at rest under their standards. This protects data in ordinary operation; it is not end-to-end encryption where only you hold the keys.
How We Use Your Information
We use submitted material to provide the product you requested, including extracting text, generating study outputs, storing artifacts for later access, tracking usage limits, and supporting account features.
We also use contact information to send transactional emails such as generation success or failure notifications, account-related communication, and support responses.
AI Processing
Cramium uses automated systems and third-party AI/model providers to process submitted material and generate study output such as guides, question sets, flashcards, and related study artifacts. This can include uploaded material and notes that you submit to create guides, question sets, flashcards, and related study output.
Third-party providers may process submitted material only as needed to provide the service.
Only submit material you are authorized to use and authorized to process through cloud and AI-enabled services.
Service Providers and Processing Partners
Cramium relies on third-party providers to operate the platform. Based on the current product stack, these include Google and GitHub for authentication, Supabase for data and storage infrastructure, AWS Bedrock for generation workflows, ElevenLabs for voice features, Stripe for billing, and Resend for transactional email delivery.
Third-party providers may process submitted material only as needed to provide the service. Their handling of data is also governed by their own policies and contractual terms.
Retention and Security
We retain account and generated-content data for as long as it is needed to operate the service, maintain your access, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Uploaded content and generated artifacts may remain associated with your account until deleted or otherwise removed under our retention practices.
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect stored information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. You should avoid uploading material you are not comfortable processing through a cloud-based educational product.
Your Choices
You can control certain information through your account settings, authentication provider, or by contacting support. You may also choose what material to upload and whether to continue using the service.
If you have questions about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-related requests, contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable law and the capabilities of the product at the time of the request.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, operational needs, legal obligations, or security improvements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
Your continued use of Cramium after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
